Chicago Southland "FAM" trip

Our group is staying at Wind Creek Casino & Resort. A "FAM" trip is short for Familiarization. We are hosted by Chicago Southland Tourism. Chicago Southland encompasses 60+ communities beyond the city's southern border and is home to over 1 million people. This area is the south side of Chicagoland, also known as the Chicago Metro area. On Monday and Tuesday, we will be visiting places in the area so we can become familiar and write about them for our various readers. There are five of us here soaking in the area! Today, (Monday), we toured and used the facilities at Wind Creek. Breakfast at the VIP lounge was delicious. They served us beef for breakfast, along with salad and a poached egg. While it didn't resemble the traditional "steak and eggs" breakfast, it was very good! Following breakfast and a tour, they treated us to a massage and use of the spa for a couple of hours. Later today, we'll be out in the community enjoying the attractions it has to offer. Follow along for more tomorrow. Maybe, I'll have some pictures to share! Until next time... Stan |
