๐Ÿš› Iowa 80: The Truck Stop That's Larger Than Life! ๐Ÿš›

โ€‹

Hey, road warriors and curious travelers (and Rock Star Road Trippers)! ๐Ÿ‘‹ Buckle up for a wild ride through the biggest, baddest truck stop you've ever seen - Iowa 80! ๐Ÿค

Located on I-80 in Walcott, Iowa, this mammoth pit stop is like a small city for truckers and (rock star) road-trippers alike. ๐Ÿ™๏ธ Spread over a whopping 220 acres, it's basically the Disneyland of truck stops! ๐ŸŽข

What's inside, you ask? Oh wow, where do I start? ๐Ÿค”

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Hungry? Choose from 8 restaurants, including a 300-seat buffet! ๐Ÿ›’ Need supplies? There's a 30,000 sq ft Super Truck Showroom! ๐Ÿšฟ Longing for a shower? Pick from 24 private shower rooms! ๐ŸŽฎ Bored? Hit up the movie theater or dentist's office (yes, really!) ๐Ÿšœ Love big rigs? Check out the Truck Museum with antique beauties!

But wait, there's more! ๐ŸŽ‰ Every year, they host the "Truckers Jamboree" - a 3-day extravaganza with concerts, fireworks, and even a Super Truck Beauty Contest! ๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿšš

So next time you're cruising down I-80, don't just drive by - stop in and experience the legendary Iowa 80. It's not just a truck stop; it's a destination! ๐ŸŒŸ (I believe that Buc-ees in Texas became jealous, so built their own monstrosities!)

Remember: If you can't find it at Iowa 80, you probably don't need it! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Happy travels, Road Trip Rock Stars! ๐Ÿ›ฃ๏ธ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’จ

Featured Post: When talking about large highway stops, think about searching for a Buc-ees. Originally from Texas, theyโ€™ve moved to other southeastern states, including Missouri and Colorado. Thereโ€™s one in Springfield, MO, which is on Route 66. Check out the post about Route 66 and plan your stop in Springfield!

Last week, I took a ghost tour on Summit Avenue in St. Paul. No, I didn't get scared! The tour was interesting from both a historical and a paranormal view perspective. If you are in the area, consider taking the tour. The base tour runs about an hour and 15 minutes and you can add an advanced option to see three more haunted locations. Here's the link which covers the base options. https://www.the-driveby-tourist.com/astonishing-ghosts-st-paul/ Thanks, Until next time... Stan

Discover Nebraska Beyond the Interstate! ๐Ÿš—๐ŸŒพ Why is Nebraska often overlooked, even though Interstate 80 runs right through it? Many travelers have zipped through the 455 miles of I-80 in Nebraska, stopping only for gas, food, or restrooms, missing out on the stateโ€™s hidden gems. For a while, #VisitNebraska even embraced the tagline, โ€œWeโ€™re not for everybody,โ€ highlighting its unique attractions that deserve a closer look. ๐ŸŒฝ๐Ÿ›ค๏ธ I recently attended the Midwest Travel Writers Conference...
