A Giant Addition to Your Road Trip! 🪵👕

Ever feel like your bedroom dresser is overflowing?

Well, you haven't seen anything yet! Welcome to High Point, North Carolina, home to the World’s Largest Chest of Drawers. 🛏️✨

Standing an impressive 36 feet tall, this massive piece of "furniture" was originally built in the 1920s to prove once and for all that High Point is the "Furniture Capital of the World." It was fully restored in 1996 and now features two giant socks hanging out of one of the drawers—a whimsical nod to the local hosiery industry. 🧦🏙️ It’s the ultimate roadside photo op and a testament to the city’s industrial roots.

But the giant furniture fun doesn’t stop there! Just a quick 15-minute drive away in Thomasville, you’ll find the Big Chair. 🪑💥 This 30-foot-tall replica of a Duncan Phyfe armchair is made of concrete and steel and has been a local landmark since 1950. Even President Lyndon B. Johnson once stopped by to wave to the crowds from its seat during his 1960 campaign for vice president!

Whether you’re a fan of quirky Americana or just looking for a way to make your travel photos look like you’ve shrunk in the wash, these North Carolina giants are a must-see. Grab your camera and get ready for some big-time memories! 📸🙌
